Skilled Regional Visa – Subclass 887
The Subclass 887 visa is a permanent residency (PR) visa for holders of certain provisional skilled visas who have lived and worked in regional Australia. This is the second stage visa that follows provisional visas like:

No sponsorship from a relative or nomination from a State/Territory is required for Subclass 887.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Subclass 887 visa, you must:
✔ Have lived in Australia for at least 2 years on an eligible provisional skilled visa
✔ Have worked full-time in a regional area of Australia for at least 1 year
✔ Have lived:

In a designated area, if previously sponsored by a relative

In a regional or low population growth area, if nominated by a State/Territory government
✔ Be in Australia at the time of application and at the time the visa is granted
Note: The required work experience does not need to be in a skilled occupation.
