Business Visa Categories

Canada and Quebec offer three main business immigration categories, each with multiple streams:
 

1. Investor Visa

✔️ Federal Investor Program

Designed for senior executives or successful business owners who want to invest in Canada.

Requirements:

  • Minimum net worth of CAD $1.6 million (legally acquired)

  • Investment of CAD $800,000 for 5 years (guaranteed return, no interest)

  • You can also finance up to 70% of this amount through approved Canadian financial institutions

Your investment is used by Canadian provinces to grow the economy and create jobs. After 5 years, your investment is returned in full.
 

✔️ Quebec Investor Program

Ideal for experienced businesspersons looking to invest specifically in Quebec.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of management experience

  • Minimum net worth of CAD $800,000

  • Investment of CAD $400,000 for 5 years with an approved Quebec financial institution

2. Entrepreneur Visa

For those who want to start and manage a business in Canada.
Requirements:

  • Minimum net worth of CAD $300,000

  • Business experience (ownership/control of a percentage of a qualifying business)

  • Must start a business in Canada within 3 years of landing

  • Create at least one full-time job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

  • Pass the selection grid (education, language skills, work experience, age, adaptability)
     

✔️ Quebec Entrepreneur Program
For individuals interested in launching or acquiring a business in Quebec.
Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of management experience

  • Minimum net worth of CAD $300,000 (including spouse’s assets)

  • Submit a viable business plan

  • Business must employ at least 3 Quebec residents

  • Must start the business within 3 years of becoming a resident

3. Self-Employed Visa

Requirements:
