Select a program at an NZQA-approved provider. You will need an unconditional offer of place before applying for the visa.

Employment & Post‑Study Opportunities:
During Study
You may work up to 20 hours/week during term time, and full-time over breaks. New visa reforms from November 2025 plan to increase this limit to 25 hours/week in many cases.
Post-Study Work Pathway
Completing a Level 7 or above qualification with at least 30 weeks of full-time study makes you eligible for a Post-Study Work Visa of up to 3 years for degree graduates IDP+4Immigration New Zealand+4Reddit+4. Be cautious if cross-crediting PG Diploma to Master's programs; INZ now enforces the rule that you must study the specific qualification in NZ for 30 weeks or more
