Australia Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190)
A permanent skilled migration visa that requires nomination from a State or Territory Government in Australia.
Eligibility Criteria
• Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) via SkillSelect and receive an invitation to apply
• Obtain a nomination from a State or Territory Government
• Score at least 65 points on the Skilled Migration Points Test
• Be aged between 18 and 44 years
• Meet health and character requirements
• Meet competent English language standards
• Pass a Skills Assessment in an occupation listed on a relevant State/Territory Occupation List
State/Territory Nomination
• Each Australian State/Territory maintains a list of in-demand occupations
• You may need to meet additional criteria such as higher English proficiency, specific work experience, or specialized skills
• Typically, you're expected to live in the nominating State/Territory for at least 2 years after visa grant
Where to Apply From
• You can apply from within or outside Australia
• If applying from within Australia, you must hold a substantive visa or a bridging visa (A, B, or C)
• You’ll receive a bridging visa that allows you to stay in Australia while your visa is processed

• Must enter Australia before health and police clearances expire
• Live for at least 2 years in the nominating State/Territory
• Spouse or de facto partner (including same-sex partners)

• Other dependent family members (e.g., financially dependent parents living with you) – must be included at the time of application
